Dr. Marcus Mason has long been dedicated to discovering the many ways that he could help people. As president of Advanced Wound Care, he improves the lives of those in his care, and conveys his unreserved belief in solid patient care. A valued expert in senior care, Dr. Mason appreciates and respects each of his patients. He delivers bedside wound care to patients in nursing facilities and nursing homes, and is esteemed for his careful treatment of his patients.
As a widely-experienced medical professional with expertise in wound care and internal, geriatric and family medicine, Dr. Mason has treated patients in various capacities. He completed a Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital-Miller School of Medicine at the University of Miami. He also earned an MD in 1998, fulfilled a Residency at Ochsner Health System, and became a Certified Wound Specialist in 2002.
Dr. Mason also publishes medical articles, and conducts research on various topics including endocartis and Paget’s disease. His work has been featured in Annals of Long Term Care, Resident & Staff Physician and Clinical Geriatrics. More recently, he composed “BRCA1 and BRCA2 Effects on Breast-Ovarian Cancer Development,” “Hypertension and African Americans,” “Case Study of a Patient with a Chronic Lower Extremity Wound,” and “A Case of Vanishing Bile Duct Syndrome.”
